Will Doughty brings passion and vision to his work that inspires actors to play more with their creative process.
Will had lost the fun of acting after college and into his professional career. He was Over-Thinking his auditions and working Too Hard in his performances. He was losing touch with what made him fall in love with acting in the first place: Play. When you are in a state of Play, you forget about the rest of the world and can create without thinking too much about it. Will wanted to create a class that challenges all aspects of the craft. Enter: Off Book Acting.
With 20 years experience in the entertainment industry including television credits for NBC, Showtime and Comedy Central and a dozen national commercial campaigns. He has a Theatre degree from Illinois State University and studied/performed improv in Chicago, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, New York, Austin, and San Francisco. His LA training includes UCB, iOWest, and Second City. Will co-produced and co-hosted Crashbar Improv weekly for 5 years. Will Doughty has been teaching in Los Angeles for 10 years and provides 1-on-1 T.V. & Film Audition coaching, Self Tape Recording, Online Classes and Business Consulting.
